Gilweroo

Gilweroo is a large Scout activity camp held every year in November at Elmore, near Bendigo. It’s run by Scouts Victoria and attracts thousands of Scouts and Leaders from across the state.
The camp is designed for Scouts aged 11–14 and features a huge range of adventurous activities — everything from abseiling and archery to flying foxes, construction challenges, and water activities. Scouts camp with their troop for the weekend and get to meet others from all over Victoria while learning teamwork, independence, and resilience.

Jamboree

The Australian Scout Jamboree (AJ) is the biggest event in Scouting in Australia, held roughly every three years at different locations around the country.
It brings together over 10,000 Scouts and Leaders from all states and territories, and often international visitors as well.
Jamboree runs for 10 days and offers hundreds of activities — including water sports, obstacle courses, cultural exchanges, concerts, and night-time entertainment.
For many Scouts, Jamboree is the highlight of their Scouting journey — a chance to live in a tent city, build lifelong friendships, and experience the true spirit of adventure on a national scale.

Cuboree

Cuboree is a Victorian camp for Cub Scouts, held every three years and designed especially for youth aged 8–11 years.
The camp usually runs for five days and is packed with activities, challenges, and entertainment. Each Cuboree has its own fun theme (for example, “Around the World” or “Superheroes”) which guides the activities and decorations for the event.
Cubs camp together in “packs,” cooking, playing, exploring, and learning new skills. For many Cubs, this is their first big camp away from home, helping them build confidence and independence in a supportive environment.

Kangaree

Kangaree is the Victorian Joey Scout camp, usually held every few years. It’s a special event just for Joeys — the youngest members of Scouting, aged 5–7 years.
The camp runs over a weekend and gives Joeys their first taste of camping in a fun, safe, and structured environment.
Activities focus on fun, discovery, and teamwork, such as crafts, games, campfire singing, and meeting Joeys from other groups. Kangaree is often themed, with colourful decorations, mascots, and plenty of smiles all around!
